NASI UDUK



 Rice is a typical food Uduk Betawi. In contrast to the white rice in general, do not look white Uduk Rice and grains of rice does not stick to each other. That's because the process of cooking the rice first diaron using coconut water, bay leaves, lime leaves, galangal, and lemongrass, then steamed until cooked. The result, it was a tasty and aromatic. This dish is usually served with a sprinkling of fried onions, a side dish of fried chicken, fried tofu and tempeh, hazelnut thick reddish sauce that tastes spicy and basil leaves. Sometimes it also comes with a sweet soy sauce mixture.
Uduk rice is often served with other dishes such as fried shrimp, empal, offal fried, scrambled eggs, and vegetables plus tamarind or fresh vegetables. Uduk rice suitable to eat at any time, either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
